The heart beats on
They can teach us a thing or two
About selfless love.
They give away almost everything
To bring them up.
Then they grow up
And abandon the nest
They never even look back
For parents who gave them so much.
Maybe, it is true
That we are human
Just because we do have feelings
Like gratitude and dutifulness.
But, sometimes we demand
Things we should not,
If we actually had half their love,
In our hearts for our offsprings.
