The heart beats on

From land to land they travelled
Mighty hands handled the oars,
Sometimes willingly
And sometimes they were made.

So many stories spun
On and around those decks,
Stories that will cheer
And ones that will freeze souls.

Stories of mermaids and sirens
That wooed the sailors to kill
Stories of pirates and plunderers
That tormented for thrill.

Stories of found treasures,
And founding true love
And then losing them both
Or bringing them home.
