A thin veil of mist was covering the valley. The air felt divine, pure, clear and soft. He sat down on a rock beside the river. The river was restless; churning dancing it was heading toward the fall.

That small fall made this place a tourist destination.

He came out early to avoid the crowd. The sky has just started to fade and turn blue. Some stars like the morning star was yet to say goodbye.

He loved this star; it enhanced the beauty of the dawn sky by its pure presence.

A butterfly sailed past him. Its brilliant blue colour made him softly gasp. It was a rare beauty; such dazzling members of this variety were seen very rare. But its wing was torn, he could see it, it fluttered helplessly against the strong wind of the river; then settled down on a huge rock.

A hand reached out to catch it and startle him. A young girl, about his age stood up from the other side of that rock.

He could see her through the mist, a creature as pure as the morning. She was wearing a white dress; her dark hair was loose, tumbling all over her body. The playful wind was playing with it.

She gently caressed the butterfly and then placed it back on the rock. It flew towards him and sat down on the rock on which he was sitting.

Its wing was not longer damaged.

He turned toward the girl, she was not there. He reached the rock in few long steps and turned around it, there was no one. Only a handful of white flower were laid on the ground.

He picked them up and started his walk toward the hotel.

Was she a dream?
