Patreon Blog Posts 1

I know many of you are already thinking that most of my posts in my blogs are my old works, years old quite often. Where are my new works? Have I stopped writing new ones?

Well I am still writing and painting as enthusiastically as before. But these days they are channeled into four other platforms- my annual republished kindle books ( -they devour quite a huge no. of stories and poems every year. Quite a lot!

my bookstore in shoptly ( Another section goes to my shoptly bookstore, here I not only publish my monthly Ezines Agnijaat and Agnishatdal I also publish a set of books of poetry and story. They are quite merrily illustrated and are available as pdf files. Yes you can read them perfectly in your cellular phone and of course in computer.

My twin Ezines Agnijaat and Agnishatdal (both English, monthlies) don’t feature much stories or poems but publish all my new essays and articles and again, truckload of illustrations.

and my patreon profile ( This one again contains bunch of stories, poems and they almost always are illustrated. If not then the stories are very long and of the type that can’t be illustrated.

I have been so stuck up with my creations that I have ignored my blogs and other social media profiles since 2015 I believe. So, if you enjoyed my works quite amply then I think it is high time that I bring you up to date, to share what I am creating these days and how can you get them!

It will be a lengthy affair, so have patience. I will be updating you about my four years of hyperactive creativity!

I will start with Patreon. It is sort of my launch-pad to make my creativity actually become my career. So since creating my profile there I have been updating 5 works each month, two are the Ezines, the remaining three are writing and paintings. Works my blogger friends thoroughly enjoyed. Stories and poems with ample amount of illustrations!

Anyone who becomes my patron there can chose from few tiers-

You can check them from my profile-

I will share some works from there, hoping they will impress potential patrons, readers who love the stories/poems I write and will love to get a few of them each month. We all have our monthly quota of books we feed the bookworms inside our brain! I did before I started spending that time into writing and painting. I used to read almost anything I could lay my hands on. So I can guess there are many bookworms like me out there who are not writers, just readers and maybe a few of them will get hooked by my writing.

Today’s story is from Agnimalya July 2017 [You can buy this copy directly from me via paypal- [don’t forget to drop me a line @ after paying in paypal so I can send you the pdf file {all these books cost $!}]

The attic

Romita opened the backseat door. “Go pick up your own rooms, excluding the master bedroom. Don’t fall down on the very first day in new home!” she laughed at the disappearing figures.

“Let’s check out the garden.” Ritwik grabbed her arm and together they strolled into the backyard. They married each other only a month ago. Both had two kids each from previous marriages. Now they have three daughters and a son. Fortunately the kids have taken the entire thing very sportingly.

They have been enjoying time together for years now. They wanted to ensure happiness before taking the plunge.

They lived in their own flats in posh area of Kolkata and decided to sell them away and buy this old two storey house in Narendrapur.

It needed a bit of repair before they could finally move in but was a delicious bargain. They have quite a nice amount of money left in bank from the selling the flats and complete repair and paintwork of their new house.

“Can I take the whole basement pop?” Aindrilla, their eldest was waiting for them in the drawing room. The basement was certainly tempting. It was in four separate sections. It seemed the basement was most probably living quarter of servants. There were four completely separate sections, three had toilets and stairs that went up in garden, the fourth one was storage cum cellar.

“You mean one of the units?” Ritwik asked.

“No all three of them! I will be able to invite my friends over for group study or time together!” Aindrilla said, “Please!”

Her wish was granted, on one condition, she will let them use the other two units as guestrooms when needed.

Rohitaswa picked up the attic.

“It will become an oven in summer!” Ritwik said. “You can keep it as your personal room, for bedroom you may rethink!”

“If I survive this summer then I will keep it!’ Rohitaswa smiled. “Otherwise I will go downstairs, there will be rooms left for me!”

He was right. There were many rooms in that two storey house. At least ten were clearly bedrooms.

“You are not planning to turn it into a bed and breakfast, are you?” he teased.
The remaining two kids, Rinita and Pramila one five years old, the other ten zeroed on one single room right next to the master’s bedroom. They both were scared of ghosts and the huge rooms of the house were too intimidating for them.

“Yeah you guys can sleep together for few more years!” Romita smiled.

“Now that you guys have picked up your own rooms start the unpacking!”

Romita went downstairs to check out if the furniture has been placed properly. The chances of their not doing that were slim. Ritwik was here all the time, but a homemaker always double-checks.

The movers have done things like movers do. The furniture was in their proper places. The cartons were placed in the rooms as per direction, now they will have to do the unpacking. For that she will need the kids and Ritwik to help.

“Aindri’ Romita called out to her daughter hearing her going down the basement stairs, to her room. But Aindrilla did not answer. Romita went to the top of the basement stairs and called her again.
